On the night I was to make the pre game meal, I decided, while I was making all the bread for garlic bread, I may as well, make the name of the opposing team. I read them a little speech and told them to take a piece of Aquinas, and rip it, tear it, chew it and spit it out, sit on it, whatever it took to get them in the mindset of winning! The LOVED it!
My first born...William...
It frequently took two people at a time to stop him... He never went down...
Pride Drill... our favorite part...
We won this game, but this was during the game, when we were down a couple of touchdowns...
and he started getting more and more ready to break someone's bones...

What a GREAT! idea!!! You inspired them, for sure!
ReplyDeleteOur football ended last weekend-I am happy and sad-Happy to not have to sit in the FREEZING cold, but sad that the fun my boys were having is over...
You being a former dancer, I thought you would get a kick out of this-My two older boys are in Tap and Jazz...and I was never into that stuff(I was a soccer player)...Its funny what sports your kids pick!
Have a great weekend...
Love all of your pics. You really captured the emotion of the game!
ReplyDeleteSo what are you going to do now?
I miss the school sports. We did football, baseball, soccor, wrestling etc.. My kids are 24, 18, 15 (boys) and 2 (girl). My oldest is married and in the Army and the 18 y/o just moved out. They were some of the best years! It is fun getting to know their friends and it makes it easier to get to know the other parents...Enjoy these years they go by way to fast!!! Love your pictures..
