Things I learned this week... that I wish I hadn't...

Things I learned this week...
***
1. I learned that if I REEEEAAAALLLY procrastinate... William won't drive until he's at least 30!!!
***
2. Johnny wants to play baseball again. It took him 3 years to get over his idiot coach's from when he was 8 years old constantly telling him "baseball just isn't your game Johnny... don't play it anymore..." HE WAS 8 YEARS OLD! JUST NOW... he and his brothers told me what that "coach" said to him... nice huh?
We pick the BEST coaches... I'm so proud! :(
*** Ahem...
***
#3. Hail hurts
***
4. I just got a new Ipod... and it does so much... I may never listen to music on it!!!
***
5. Did I mention Hail hurts?
***
6. I HATE WHEN MY HUSBAND PLAYS "CALL OF DUTY" ON THE XBOX... I don't know why... I think it is SUCH a waste of time... it really sends me over the edge... I won't let him play it if any of the kids are awake... I basically hate all video games... but that one especially!
***
7. I have a deep seething need to plunge the Xbox into the pool... then take it out, and run it over with my car... the watch it melt...
***
8. That there may be a precident for "Divorce due to Xbox use" that I am going to look up...
Knowledge is power.

  1. I am laughing-My darling Hubby plays Call of Duty...after our boys are in bed, too! Sometimes I sit near him and blog, but feel like I am being blown up, or under attack...
I understand your irritation with it-however, we decided it is like his form of "blogging".
(Tell your husband to look up Deuce 1970-they can play together! :)

About coaches-My son had the same flag football coach for three seasons....similar situation as yours-He was ready never to play again. We switched teams finally, and this past fall was WONDERFUL-and so good for his self esteem-the coach praised each boy, and our son played so good, because he was happy-
I hope to hear good things about your next coach...

  2. LOL!! I am soooo with you on the video games! We have a Wii and I have to fight with my 3- year-old about it. I'd just as soon trash it if I knew my husband wouldn't run right out to Best Buy and spend $1000's more replacing it and all the damn accessories he has accumulated for the thing! My husband played Mario Cart for 2 hours the other night. Hello you're 30! FIND SOMETHING BETTER TO DO WITH YOUR TIME. If you need a list I can provide one for you, lol!

  3. I think you should play "Call of Duty" with your husband. If you actually tried playing the game, you may be surprised and find out you like it, or at least can tolerate it better and enjoy some time sharing in one of your husband's interests which could really be a good thing. Don't hurt the Xbox!

  4. I can't believe that coach! My husband has an uncle like that, very idiotic about children's sports (or sports in general I say). Competition is one thing, and I can appreciate it, but if you won't let your neice into the car again because she didn't hit a pin while bowling or if you have to have a 2 hour lecture after your 10 year old son's basketball game (and I was there, the boy was obviously trying hard) about why winning is the only option and if he thinks losing is ever acceptable he better just stop trying... I'd say you have a problem.

Good luck with the X-Box and the driving! I enjoy a good video game more than I should, but those 1st person shooters are definitely not my thing :P
