Wordful Wednesday

Okay... all you in the cold, freezing states... please don't hate. I just took these shots on Saturday. We were cleaning up the backyard getting ready to plant a new vegetable garden.
Johnny decided to climb onto the roof of the old Clubhouse turned shed and pick some lemons for lemonade. This tree has been struck by lightening, and broken 3 times, and it still produces lemons by the barrelfull. This one above... when Johnny picked it he screamed...
Mamala! This one looks like a butt!" Yep, with all the dimples and the spread... it looks a lot like
MY BUTT! Yikes... Art does imitate life!
William's ankle was feeling much better, and he wanted to rake a little. I don't know why he was choosing... They are all ready to be picked. I was having a COW that he was on that roof. I was so afraid he would fall. But he was a monkey and did fine. Anyone need lemons? Want to see more? Hop on over to Angie's Seven Clown Circus by clicking the button above this post!

  2. Such handsome boys.

See normally I would be jealous of your weather this time of year, but surprisingly it is almost mid 50's here. Normally it would be about 20 or so. It has been a very mild year this year. I do miss the snow a little, but not enough for a snow dance.

What a lovely lemon tree! How fun.

  24. There are times when I feel like, as a teacher, I just spent too much time around kids and they have me brainwashed into their "zone." Before I even read the text I saw the lemon and thought, "That totally looks like a butt." Haha! Ahh it's good to be youthful, right?
